Sinigang Sa Bayabas Recipe: (Makes 5 servings): 1 pouch (40 g) Mama Sita’s Guava Soup Base (Sinigang sa Bayabas) Mix, 1.1 lbs (1/2 kg) fish (preferably bangus milkfish), 3 cups (750 ml) water, 1 pc small tomato – quartered, 1 pc small onion – quartered, 2 cups (200 g) vegetables, (kangkong or long green beans) – cut into 2 inches lengths, 2 pcs (15 g) finger peppers fish sauce (to taste). 1. In a saucepan, combine water, onion, tomato and Mama Sita’s Sinigang sa Bayabas Mix. Bring to a boil. 2. Add fish and cook until almost done. 3. At this point, add your choice of vegetables and continue cooking until fish is opaque and flaky and vegetables are done. 4. Add fish sauce to taste. Serve hot.
