Caldereta Recipe (Makes 10 Servings): 1 pouch (50 g) Mama Sita’s Spicy Sauce (Caldereta) Mix, 2.2 lbs (1 kg) beef brisket (cut into 1-1/2 inch cubes), 1 cup (190 g) each potatoes/carrots-cut into serving portions, 1 pc bell pepper (1-1/2 inch triangle cuts), 1/2 cup (100 g) green peas, 1/4 cup (28 g) pitted green olives (optional), 2 cups (500 ml) water, 3 tbsp (45 ml) cooking oil. 1. Pan fry meat in heated cooking oil until brown. 2. Add water, bring to a boil. Simmer until meat is tender. Add more water, as needed. 3. Add Mama Sita’s (Caldereta) Mix, stir. Add the potatoes and carrots. Simmer. 4. Lastly, add the rest of the vegetables. Cook until done. Serve hot with rice. Other Meat Substitute: lamb, chicken.
